Day-Time Moon

Standard

Sissy, Baby Boy and I went for a walk the other day. Baby Boy actually strolled. We were looking at Christmas decorations and enjoying the beautiful cool, fall weather. Sissy was pointing out things to me with her pink hands, e.g. snowmen, reindeer, Santa, stop signs, street reflectors, etc. Then, all of a sudden, she pointed up to the lovely late afternoon sky and excitedly said, “Moon!!!” I followed her rosy finger and confirmed the sighting: “Yes! A day-time moon!” She cocked her head, and looked at me quizzically and asked “Hmmm . . . but . . . day . . . the sun?!?” I pointed to the sun. She followed my finger to find the sun and exclaimed “Oh! Yes! Sun is day! Moon is night. No moon in day. SILLY MOON!!!”
